The story
HILALA is a seasonal gift stand for Ramadan and Eid, the weeks when families visit each other, set festive tables and exchange gifts. It sells lanterns, prayer beads, prayer mats, gift boxes and table decorations, all chosen to be given.
The stand stands at the gallery balcony, and its two towers each carry a filigree crescent lit from behind, so the glow can be seen from the floors below in the evening. Everything else stays at the 110 cm counter height: gifts under flush glass at the front and six small lanterns glowing in arched niches on the left.
Midnight blue, gold and turquoise with a geometric star pattern give the kiosk the calm, warm mood of a Ramadan evening, without using any text other than the brand name.
Manufacturing and materials
- Body: 18 mm MDF in midnight-blue satin lacquer; gold geometric pattern in laser-cut brass-finish inlay.
- Worktop: 12 mm ivory sintered stone with a brass-finish edge inlay.
- Showcase: 10 mm laminated glass lid flush with the worktop, lockable, turquoise velvet base, 3000K LED.
- Niches: arched CNC-cut MDF niches, gold-leaf-effect interior, warm LED.
