The story
KILNWELL makes mugs and tableware for the first quiet minutes of the day. The stand is a small ceramic studio in the middle of the concourse: terracotta and cream like fired clay, with a grid of glazed tiles wrapping every counter.
The square island has four equal sides with a job each. Mugs are stepped up at the front so every glaze is visible, plates and bowls sit in a showcase on the left, customers can paint their own mug on the right, and the back is the pay point. The crown is 20 cm high and the stand is 220 cm overall, within the mall limit, and the name shows on all four sides.
A cluster of three ceramic pendants in the centre gives the stand a warm kitchen-table light.
Manufacturing and materials
- Body: 18 mm MDF carcass, charcoal matte lacquer.
- Counter faces: 10 × 10 cm glazed ceramic wall tiles bonded to cement board, charcoal epoxy grout.
- Worktops and step display: 40 mm solid light oak, hard-wax oil finish.
- Columns: Ø 100 mm steel tubes, charcoal powder coat, cables routed inside.
- Crown: 20 × 16 cm aluminium box section, terracotta matte lacquer, cream acrylic letters.
- Showcase: 8 mm tempered glass top, lockable sliding back, 3000K LED strip.
- Pendants: three Ø 25 cm glazed ceramic shades on a steel crossbar, dimmable LED.
Final dimensions are confirmed by on-site measurement before production. Mall height limits, electrical supply and fire regulations are checked with the centre’s technical office at project stage.
