The story
AURUMA is a gold house for the moments that Turkish families mark with gold: engagements, weddings, births and savings put aside for later. The stand is dressed in burgundy and black stone so that the gold is the brightest thing on the gallery floor, and it sits at the balcony where it can be seen from the floors below.
Gold is sold by weight, so the right side is an open service counter with a precision balance and a karat tester, where the customer sits and watches the piece being weighed. The back faces the railing and holds the storage cabinet and the safe. The crown is 20 cm high, the overall height stays at 220 cm and the columns are only 10 cm wide.
The side without a showcase carries an image of gold coins falling onto velvet, so every customer side either shows gold or pictures it, and the name is on the crown above each of them.
Manufacturing and materials
- Body: 18 mm MDF, deep burgundy high-gloss lacquer; lower panels with CNC-fluted MDF in gold metallic lacquer.
- Tops: 12 mm sintered stone with a black marble look, polished edges.
- Showcases: 10 mm laminated safety glass with lockable sliding panels; black velvet displays; 3000K high-CRI LED for warm gold colour.
- Columns: 100 × 100 mm steel box sections with a brushed-gold PVD finish; cables routed inside.
- Crown: 20 × 18 cm aluminium box section, burgundy lacquer, brushed-gold acrylic letters, linear LED underneath.
- Security: certified built-in safe in the back cabinet, alarm contacts on every showcase, camera dome wired through a column.
- Service counter: recessed power for the balance and the karat tester; stools in burgundy leatherette.
Final dimensions are confirmed by on-site measurement before production. Mall height limits, electrical supply and fire regulations are checked with the centre’s technical office at project stage.
