The story
BOTLINGS sells robot kits that children build and program themselves. The stand lets them see the result straight away: three small robots follow a line track in an arena sunk into the worktop, and a child can pick one up, turn it round and watch it find its way back.
Because the stand sits at the gallery balcony, all stock and spare parts go into the closed back cabinet, and the three customer sides stay open. The counter stays at 110 cm, a step on the right side helps younger children reach the arena, and one orange tower of 60 × 15 × 210 cm carries the logo and a friendly robot outline with glowing eyes.
Cobalt blue and bright orange read as playful and technical at the same time, and the graphics of gears and circuits explain the product without any words.
Manufacturing and materials
- Counter body: 18 mm MDF, cobalt-blue lacquer, all corners rounded R 150 mm, child-safe water-based finish.
- Worktop and arena: 12 mm white solid-surface; recessed arena lined with printed HPL, rounded inner edges.
- Kit windows: 6 mm laminated safety glass, LED lit, lockable service doors from inside.
- Child step: 20 cm plywood box with anti-slip rubber top.
- Tower: steel frame, orange lacquered MDF, CNC-cut robot outline with blue LED eyes.
- Back cabinet: white HPL drawers with locks.
- Services: 16 A power line; charging drawer for the demo robots.
Final dimensions are confirmed by on-site measurement before production. Mall height limits, electrical supply and fire regulations are checked with the centre’s technical office at project stage.
