The story
CASEMINT prints a phone case from a customer's own photo in about ten minutes. The customer designs the case on a touchscreen on the left side, and at the front a UV printer behind glass does the work in full view. Watching the print appear is half the fun.
The whole island stays at a flat 110 cm. The touchscreen is sunk into the worktop and the printer is built into the counter, so the stand looks open and tidy from every side. One mint tower of 60 × 15 × 210 cm marks the stand from a distance.
Mint and deep plum give the kiosk a fresh, fashion-like look, and the mint logo band runs around all four sides.
Manufacturing and materials
- Counter body: 18 mm MDF, deep-plum lacquer, 30 cm radius corners in bent plywood.
- Logo band: mint lacquered aluminium composite; white acrylic letters, 5 mm.
- Worktop: 12 mm white solid-surface, thermoformed at the corners, CNC-cut for the touchscreen and the terminal.
- Printer bay: ventilated compartment for a desktop UV flatbed printer, 8 mm tempered glass window, extraction with carbon filter.
- Touchscreen: 24" commercial capacitive screen behind 4 mm tempered glass, flush with the worktop.
- Tower: steel frame, mint lacquered MDF, printed acrylic case shapes.
- Services: 16 A power line, network cable for the design software.
Final dimensions are confirmed by on-site measurement before production. Mall height limits, electrical supply and fire regulations are checked with the centre’s technical office at project stage.
