The story
HEELKEY is the old-fashioned repair counter that busy people keep forgetting they need: a spare key cut in two minutes, a heel replaced before the cinema ends, a shine for tomorrow's meeting. The stand makes the craft visible with black, tan leather and brass, like a traditional cobbler's shop in a compact footprint.
Backed against a mall wall, the back unit becomes the display: two hundred key blanks on one side, polish, laces and shoe trees on the other. The front cuts keys, the left bench repairs shoes and the right side offers a raised shine chair. Two slim black columns and a 20 cm crown keep the stand within 220 cm and show the name to all three customer sides.
Manufacturing and materials
- Wall unit: 18 mm MDF in black matte lacquer on a steel sub-frame fixed to the wall; brass-finish pegboard with 200 hooks.
- Counters: 18 mm MDF clad in tan leather-look vinyl, black compact-laminate tops, brass upholstery studs.
- Machines: two key-cutting machines and one shoe finishing machine with a built-in dust extractor.
- Shine chair: tan leather-look armchair bolted to a black plywood plinth with brass footrests.
- Columns: 100 × 100 mm steel box sections, black powder coat.
- Crown: 20 × 17 cm aluminium section, black; cream acrylic letters, brass trim line.
- Services: 16 A power line with separate circuits for the machines; extractor filter under the bench.
Final dimensions are confirmed by on-site measurement before production. Mall height limits, electrical supply and fire regulations are checked with the centre’s technical office at project stage.
