The story
HOMIQ sells smart home gadgets to people who are curious but a little unsure where to start. The stand does not show a wall of boxes. It shows a small living room: a lamp that changes colour, a speaker, a thermostat and a tablet that controls them all.
The stand sits at the gallery balcony, so the back is a closed stock cabinet and the three customer sides each do one thing: the demo room at the front, a showcase of plugs and sensors on the left, and a real door with a video doorbell and smart lock on the right. The crown stays within the 220 cm limit, is only 20 cm high and shows HOMIQ on every customer side.
Warm white, light oak and slate blue make the technology feel homely, and the amber light line under the crown repeats the glow of the demo lamp.
Manufacturing and materials
- Body: 18 mm MDF, slate-blue matte lacquer; light oak veneer tops with lacquered edges.
- Columns: Ø 100 mm steel tubes, slate-blue powder coat, cables routed inside to the crown.
- Crown: 20 × 16 cm aluminium box section, warm-white lacquer, slate-blue acrylic letters, amber LED profile.
- Showcase: 8 mm tempered glass top with lock, oak trays, 3000K LED.
- Demo door: solid oak-veneered panel with pre-cut mounting points for doorbells and locks; replaceable.
- Demo network: hidden Wi-Fi hub in the back cabinet, tablet on a lockable swivel stand.
- Services: 16 A power line, data cable to the hub.
Final dimensions are confirmed by on-site measurement before production. Mall height limits, electrical supply and fire regulations are checked with the centre’s technical office at project stage.
