The story
KLAKKO is for people who care about how a keyboard sounds and feels. The whole stand is built like a keyboard: its four faces are covered in oversized keycap blocks in cream, warm grey and orange, and the logo is spelled out on six keycaps.
The kiosk stays at the 110 cm counter height and nothing stands on top of it. The keyboards lie flush in glass, and the two test boards are sunk into the worktop so shoppers can type on them without anything blocking the view. One teal tower of 60 × 15 × 210 cm carries the logo high enough to be seen along the concourse.
Every side has a clear role: the range at the front, typing tests on the left, keycaps and switches on the right, and payment at the back.
Manufacturing and materials
- Body: 18 mm MDF carcass; CNC-milled MDF keycap blocks, 30 mm deep, lacquered cream, warm grey and orange.
- Logo band: dark-teal matte lacquer; raised acrylic keycap letters.
- Worktop: 12 mm cream solid-surface on a 30 mm substrate; flush-set 8 mm tempered glass inserts with locks.
- Test tray: sunken powder-coated steel tray with cable grommets and steel anti-theft tethers.
- Tower: steel box frame clad in teal lacquered MDF; oversized keycaps vacuum-formed in orange ABS.
- Lighting: 4000K LED inside the showcases; warm-white IP65 LED in the plinth.
- Services: 16 A power line and USB power for the test keyboards through the plinth.
Final dimensions are confirmed by on-site measurement before production. Mall height limits, electrical supply and fire regulations are checked with the centre’s technical office at project stage.
