The story
LANORA sells cashmere and fine wool that people buy by touch: a scarf lifted from a stack, held against the cheek and then chosen. The stand is warm and quiet, built from light oak, oatmeal, camel and charcoal, so that the colours of the scarves stand out.
At the front, two faceless torso forms show how a sweater and scarf go together, and the table between them holds folded stacks in every shade. The left side is a hanging gradient of twenty scarves, and the back faces the balcony railing as closed storage. The crown stays within 220 cm and the oak columns are 10 cm thick, so the atrium stays in view.
The right side has no display. It carries a large close-up of knitted wool, which says 'soft' before anyone reads the name.
Manufacturing and materials
- Columns: Ø 100 mm solid oak turned columns on steel cores, matte lacquer.
- Tables and counters: light oak veneer on 18 mm MDF, hard-wax oil.
- Crown: 20 × 16 cm aluminium section, charcoal lacquer, oatmeal acrylic letters.
- Forms: faceless linen-covered torso forms on oak bases.
- Rail: Ø 25 mm oak rail on concealed steel brackets between the columns.
- Back cabinet: charcoal matte MDF, deep drawers with cedar liners against moths.
- Graphic: printed fabric panel in a recessed oak frame.
Final dimensions are confirmed by on-site measurement before production. Mall height limits, electrical supply and fire regulations are checked with the centre’s technical office at project stage.
