The story
NAZARO sells the evil-eye bead as jewellery: a small blue eye on a bracelet, a pendant or a pin on a baby's blanket, given for good luck all over Turkey. The stand is built around the bead itself, with forty real glass eyes set into the front of the counter and two large backlit eyes on the towers.
Backed against a mall wall, the kiosk keeps its stock in a closed cabinet at the back and stays at the 110 cm counter height everywhere else. The two slim towers stand at the back corners, within 60 × 15 × 210 cm, and can be seen along the corridor.
The side without a showcase shows glass beads being shaped in a flame, a nod to the glassmakers who still make them by hand.
Manufacturing and materials
- Body: 18 mm MDF, deep blue high-gloss lacquer; bent-plywood rounded corners.
- Bead panel: 40 handmade glass evil-eye beads set flush in a CNC-drilled front panel, sealed with clear resin.
- Worktop: 12 mm white solid-surface.
- Showcases: 10 mm laminated safety glass with lockable sliding panels; 5000K LED.
- Towers: steel frame, blue lacquered MDF; Ø 45 cm fused-glass eye discs with LED backlight.
- Back cabinet: white HPL, lockable drawers, fixed to the wall frame.
Final dimensions are confirmed by on-site measurement before production. Mall height limits, electrical supply and fire regulations are checked with the centre’s technical office at project stage.
