The story
LATHERLY makes soap by hand in small batches and sells it by the slice. The stand is built around that moment: a whole soap loaf on an oak board at the front, cut with a wire to the size the customer wants, next to a lit showcase of finished bars in soft natural colours.
The stand sits on the gallery floor with its back to the balcony railing, so the closed cream cabinet towards the void holds the stock and the water tank for the tester basin. The three customer sides stay open at exactly 110 cm. A single olive tower of 60 × 15 × 210 cm, hung with dried lavender, carries the logo and stays within the mall limits.
Lavender, olive and white oak are the colours of the ingredients. Customers can wash their hands at the small basin on the left and smell the soap before they buy.
Manufacturing and materials
- Body: 18 mm moisture-resistant MDF, lavender and olive matte lacquer, water-resistant sealing on all lower edges.
- Worktop: 40 mm solid white oak with a hard-wax oil finish.
- Showcase: 6 mm tempered glass front with three adjustable 8 mm glass shelves; 3000K warm LED strips.
- Tester basin: Ø 35 cm ceramic basin with a brass-finish tap; 20 L fresh-water tank, pump and 20 L grey-water tank in the back cabinet.
- Back cabinet: cream HPL with lockable stock drawers.
- Tower: steel frame, olive lacquered MDF, brass-finish pegs; preserved lavender bundles.
- Services: 16 A power line for lighting, the pump and the card terminal.
Final dimensions are confirmed by on-site measurement before production. Mall height limits, electrical supply and fire regulations are checked with the centre’s technical office at project stage.
