The story
OUDAMI sells oud and incense for slow evenings at home: agarwood chips, bakhoor for the burner and incense cones and sticks. The stand is dark and warm, built from charred-black slats, deep plum and bronze, like the inside of a spice merchant's chest.
Standing at the gallery balcony, the kiosk turns its closed back to the railing for stock. The customer sides stay at the 110 cm counter height with flush glass showcases, so the product is seen from above. One slim tower with a backlit smoke panel is the only tall element, and it keeps within 60 × 15 × 210 cm.
The side without a showcase shows an image of a split oud log and rising smoke, and the plum logo band runs across every customer side.
Manufacturing and materials
- Body: 18 mm MDF carcass clad in shou-sugi-ban style charred pine slats, sealed with a matte fire-retardant lacquer.
- Logo band: deep plum lacquer, bronze-finish acrylic letters.
- Worktop: 12 mm cream sintered stone on a 30 mm substrate.
- Showcases: 8 mm tempered glass lids, lockable; 2700K LED.
- Burner tray: heat-resistant bronze tray on a ceramic insulating pad; lit burners only under staff supervision.
- Tower: steel frame, bronze-lacquered MDF, backlit translucent acrylic panel with printed smoke lines.
- Back unit: lockable cabinet with ventilated shelves for aromatic stock.
Final dimensions are confirmed by on-site measurement before production. Mall height limits, electrical supply and fire regulations are checked with the centre’s technical office at project stage.
