The story
PLUSHWELL sells the quickest way to change a room: a few new cushions and a throw over the sofa. The front of the stand works like a colour chart made of real cushions, twelve of them in twelve cubbies, so shoppers can see bouclé next to velvet and mustard next to olive before they choose.
The stand is backed against a mall wall, so the stock sits in a closed walnut cabinet at the back. The counter stays at 110 cm, and two terracotta towers of 60 × 15 × 210 cm at the back corners carry the logo and a real knitted throw, which can be seen along the corridor.
Walnut, terracotta and mustard give the kiosk the warm feel of a living room on a winter afternoon.
Manufacturing and materials
- Body: 18 mm MDF with walnut veneer, matte lacquer; terracotta lacquered logo band with cream acrylic letters.
- Worktop: 30 mm walnut-veneered board, hard-wax oil finish; flush swatch tray in brushed brass.
- Cubbies: 18 mm MDF grid lined with cream felt to protect the fabrics.
- Throw rods: Ø 35 mm solid walnut rods on concealed steel pins.
- Towers: steel frame, terracotta lacquered MDF, walnut hanging rod with hidden magnetic fixings for the throw.
- Graphic: UV-printed knit-texture panel with a matte anti-scratch laminate.
- Back unit: walnut-veneered carcass with hinged doors, fixed to the wall with anti-tip brackets.
Final dimensions are confirmed by on-site measurement before production. Mall height limits, electrical supply and fire regulations are checked with the centre’s technical office at project stage.
