The story
WAVELOOM sells the peshtemal, the thin, fast-drying Turkish towel that works as a beach towel, a scarf and a throw. The stand looks like a beach cabin on the gallery floor, with six striped towels hanging from a teak rail at the front and moving slightly in the air of the atrium.
The back faces the balcony railing and holds closed drawers of stock. The customer sides show the product three ways: folded in stacks at the front, rolled in a cubby wall of colours on the left, and as a sea-and-sun graphic on the right. The crown is 20 cm high and the stand is 220 cm overall, within the mall limit.
Aegean blue, sand and light teak keep the stand calm and fresh, like the coast the towels are made for.
Manufacturing and materials
- Columns and worktops: solid light teak, 12 × 12 cm columns on steel cores, oiled finish.
- Body: 18 mm MDF, white and Aegean-blue matte lacquer stripes.
- Cubby counter: 18 mm teak-veneered plywood, 16 open cubbies of 35 × 22 cm.
- Crown: 20 × 16 cm aluminium box section, blue lacquer, white acrylic letters.
- Hanging rail: Ø 40 mm solid teak rod on stainless-steel brackets fixed to the front columns.
- Graphic: UV-printed HPL panel, no text.
- Back cabinet: teak-veneered plywood with soft-close drawers and a lock.
Final dimensions are confirmed by on-site measurement before production. Mall height limits, electrical supply and fire regulations are checked with the centre’s technical office at project stage.
