The story
DATELIA sells dates as a fine gift: large soft dates, dates stuffed with almonds, walnuts or pistachios, and dates dipped in dark, milk or white chocolate. Sales peak around Ramadan and the holidays, and the gift boxes are also popular for weddings and for visits to family.
The stand is backed against a mall wall, with a small refrigerator and the stock in the closed emerald cabinet at the back. The dates are kept cool in a flush refrigerated case at the front, gift boxes glow in six niches on the left, and on the right customers can taste before they buy. One slim emerald tower of 60 × 15 × 210 cm carries the logo and a palm relief.
Deep emerald and gold, with fine palm-frond lines across the counter faces, give the kiosk the look of a luxury confectioner.
