The story
DAYLOOM sells paper planners and calendars for people who still like to write their week down by hand. Its busiest months are the last two of the year and the first of the next, when everyone starts a new diary, but school terms and new jobs keep it busy all year.
The stand is at the gallery balcony, with a closed back cabinet facing the railing for stock. The front is a long showcase of linen-covered planners, the left side a rack of wall calendars, and the right side a small desk where a leaf motif can be embossed on a cover while the customer waits. The crown is 20 cm high and the stand stays within 220 cm overall.
Terracotta, cream and sage, with ruled lines drawn across the counter faces, make the stand feel like an open notebook.
Manufacturing and materials
- Body: 18 mm MDF, terracotta matte lacquer; ruled-line pattern in cream screen print.
- Tops: 12 mm cream solid-surface.
- Showcase: 8 mm tempered glass top, lockable, 4000K LED for true paper colours.
- Calendar rack: 8 mm clear acrylic with a front lip, on a sage lacquered base.
- Columns: Ø 100 mm steel tubes, sage powder coat.
- Crown: 20 × 16 cm aluminium section, cream lacquer, terracotta acrylic letters.
- Embossing press: manual desktop blind-embossing press with interchangeable brass motif dies.
Final dimensions are confirmed by on-site measurement before production. Mall height limits, electrical supply and fire regulations are checked with the centre’s technical office at project stage.
