The story
DELIQA sells the sweets that visitors take home from Istanbul: rose and pistachio Turkish delight, walnut and pistachio baklava, packed in boxes that are good enough to give as a gift. The stand borrows from an old Istanbul confectioner's shop, with pomegranate red, gold, ivory and turquoise tiles.
Because the stand is backed against a mall wall, the back becomes a lit wall of gift boxes above tiled storage cupboards, with an arched niche holding a copper Turkish coffee set in the middle. The front is a patisserie counter with six copper trays, the left side is a tasting counter with an Iznik-style tile graphic, and the right side is a gift showcase.
The crown is 20 cm high and 16 cm thick, and it runs from two slim gold columns to the wall unit. The stand is 220 cm overall, and DELIQA is shown on all three customer sides of the crown.
Manufacturing and materials
- Back wall unit: 25 mm MDF panels on a steel sub-frame fixed to the mall wall; ivory lacquer shelves; cupboard doors with a printed tile-pattern laminate.
- Counters: 18 mm MDF, ivory high-gloss lacquer; gold-finish aluminium inlay line.
- Tops: 12 mm sintered stone with a white marble look.
- Patisserie counter: 10 mm laminated glass with curved front; ambient-temperature display with humidity control; high-CRI 3000K LED.
- Columns: Ø 100 mm steel tubes with a gold PVD finish.
- Crown: 20 × 16 cm aluminium box section, pomegranate-red lacquer, gold acrylic letters.
- Services: 16 A power line; food-safe finishes on every surface that touches the product.
Final dimensions are confirmed by on-site measurement before production. Mall height limits, electrical supply and fire regulations are checked with the centre’s technical office at project stage.
