The story
MACARELLE is a small Parisian pâtisserie counter placed on the gallery balcony. Twenty flavours of macaron line up in rainbow order behind curved glass, and the gift boxes on the left are ready for anyone who needs a present in a hurry.
The back faces the railing and holds refrigerated drawers and a hand-wash sink, out of the customer's view. The three customer sides are the front showcase, the gift-box showcase and a decorative graphic side, with the brand on the crown above each of them. The crown is 20 cm high, 15 cm thick, and the stand stays within the 220 cm limit.
Pistachio, blush pink, ivory and brushed gold are the colours of the product itself, so the stand looks like a box of macarons.
Manufacturing and materials
- Body: 18 mm MDF, ivory satin lacquer; applied MDF panel mouldings in blush-pink lacquer.
- Tops: 12 mm sintered stone with a white marble look, polished edges.
- Macaron showcase: refrigerated patisserie display at +4 °C with 8 mm curved tempered glass as the sneeze guard, humidity control, LED lighting.
- Gift showcase: 8 mm tempered-glass top, lockable, LED lighting.
- Columns and crown: Ø 100 mm steel tubes with brushed-gold PVD finish; 20 × 15 cm aluminium crown section in pistachio lacquer with brushed-gold acrylic letters.
- Pendants: three Ø 15 cm opal-glass LED globes with gold fittings.
- Hygiene: stainless hand-wash sink with water heater, fresh-water and sealed waste tanks in the back cabinet.
Final dimensions are confirmed by on-site measurement before production. Mall height limits, electrical supply and fire regulations are checked with the centre’s technical office at project stage.
