The story
POPPALOON is where a child's birthday starts: a smiling star or a dinosaur balloon filled on the spot, a bag of party poppers and a set of plates and hats. The stand is sky blue, sunny yellow and bubblegum pink, and it stands on the gallery balcony so its balloons can be seen from the floors below.
The five display balloons stand on rigid clear sticks along the front counter rather than floating free. Their tops stay at 190 cm, below the crown and well within the 210 cm limit for balloon displays, and they cannot drift over the balcony railing. The back faces the railing and is a closed cabinet for stock, and the helium cylinder is locked inside the left counter.
The crown is 20 cm high and 16 cm thick on four slim 10 cm columns, and the stand is 220 cm overall. POPPALOON is shown on the crown on all three customer sides.
Manufacturing and materials
- Body: 18 mm MDF, white high-gloss lacquer; sky-blue and yellow lacquered accents; all edges rounded for children.
- Tops: 12 mm white solid-surface with rounded edges.
- Showcases: 8 mm tempered glass with lockable fronts; 4000K LED.
- Columns: Ø 100 mm steel tubes, white powder coat with a printed pink spiral wrap under a clear laminate.
- Crown: 20 × 16 cm aluminium box section, sky-blue lacquer, acrylic letters with a white outline layer.
- Balloon display: Ø 10 mm clear acrylic sticks in threaded worktop sockets, fixed height, no loose strings.
- Helium: cylinder chained upright in a ventilated, lockable compartment inside the left counter, regulator with safety valve; only the nozzle is on the worktop.
- Services: 16 A power line through the plinth.
Final dimensions are confirmed by on-site measurement before production. Mall height limits, electrical supply and fire regulations are checked with the centre’s technical office at project stage.
